✧ He gives zakat when its time comes

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، وَابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ: أَنَّ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ، أَخْبَرَهُمَا، أَنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ شُرَحْبِيلَ
كَانَ يَجْمَعُ زَكَاةَ الْفِطْرِ فِي مَسْجِدِ حَيِّهِ ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُهَا إِلَى الرُّهْبَانِ. قَالَ الثَّوْرِيُّ: وَكَانَ غَيْرُهُ يُعْطِيهَا الْمُسْلِمِينَ
Translation
✧ He would collect the zakat al-fitr in the mosque of his neighborhood, then give it to the monks. Al-Thawri said: Others would give it to the Muslims.
