✧ The livestock of slaves

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ:
كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَطْرَحُ زَكَاةَ الْفِطْرِ عَنْ كُلِّ عَبْدٍ لَهُ حَاضِرٍ أَوْ غَائِبٍ أَوْ فِي مَزْرَعَةٍ حَتَّى لَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يَطْرَحَ عَنْ سِتِّينَ - أَوْ سَبْعِينَ
Translation
✧ Ibn ʿUmar used to pay zakāt al-fiṭr on behalf of every slave he owned, whether present, absent, or on a farm, to the extent that he would perhaps pay on behalf of sixty or seventy.
