عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي عَطَاءٌ:
يَقُومُ الْإِمَامُ فَيُكَبِّرُ لِاسْتِفْتَاحِ الصَّلَاةِ، ثُمَّ يَمْكُثُ سَاعَةً يَدْعُو وَيَذْكُرُ فِي نَفْسِهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَكُونَ بَلَغَهُمْ قَوْلٌ مَعَلُومٌ وَلَا مِنْ دُعَاءٍ وَلَا مِنْ غَيْرِهِ، ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ الثَّانِيَةَ، ثُمَّ يَمْكُثُ كَذَلِكَ سَاعَةً يَدْعُو فِي نَفْسِهِ وَيُكَبِّرُ، ثُمَّ كَذَلِكَ بَيْنَ كُلِّ تَكْبِيرَتَيْنِ سَاعَةٌ يَدْعُو وَيَذْكُرُ فِي نَفْسِهِ حَتَّى يُكَبِّرَ سِتًّا بِتَكْبِيرَةِ الِاسْتِفْتَاحِ، ثُمَّ يَقْرَأُ، فَإِذَا خَتَمَ كَبَّرَ السَّابِعَةَ لِلرَّكْعَةِ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ، فَإِذَا اسْتَوَى قَائِمًا كَبَّرَ، ثُمَّ مَكَثَ سَاعَةً يَدْعُو فِي نَفْسِهِ وَيَذْكُرُ، ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ الثَّانِيَةَ، ثُمَّ كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى يُكَبِّرَ خَمْسًا قَبْلَ الْقِرَاءَةِ، فَإِذَا خَتَمَ كَبَّرَ السَّادِسَةَ، فَتِلْكَ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ تَكْبِيرَةً، كُلُّهُنَّ يُكَبِّرُ الْإِمَامُ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ ". قَالَ ذَلِكَ غَيْرَ مَرَّةٍ وَلَا يُحْتَسَبُ فِي ذَلِكَ بِتَكْبِيرَةِ السُّجُودِ
Translation
✧ The imam stands and says the opening takbir for the prayer, then remains for a while supplicating and remembering to himself, without any specific words or supplication having reached them. Then he says the second takbir, then remains like that for a while supplicating to himself and says takbir. Then likewise between every two takbirs there is a while in which he supplicates and remembers to himself, until he has said six takbirs including the opening takbir. Then he recites, and when he finishes he says the seventh takbir for the rak'ah. Then he stands in the second rak'ah, and when he is fully upright he says takbir, then remains for a while supplicating to himself and remembering, then says the second takbir, then likewise until he has said five takbirs before the recitation. Then when he finishes he says the sixth takbir, so that is thirteen takbirs, all of which the imam says while standing." He said that more than once, and the takbir of prostration is not counted among them.
