Translation
✧ The takbir in the prayer on the day of Fitr is thirteen takbirs, which he says while standing: seven in the first rak'ah—among them the opening takbir of the prayer, among them the takbir of the rak'ah, among them six before the recitation, and among them one after it—and in the other, six takbirs: among them a takbir for the rak'ah, among them five before the recitation, and one after it. I said to him: 'Yusuf b. Mahak informed me that Ibn al-Zubayr used to say only four takbirs in each rak'ah, the same in both, which we heard from him.' 'Ata' said: 'The one from whom I took this hadith is, by Allah, more knowledgeable than Ibn al-Zubayr.' I said: 'Who?' He said: 'Ibn 'Abbas.'
