✧ The one who has passed coming out while the khutbah is being given with a stick in his hand

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ: بَلَغَنِي

نص إضافينص إضافيأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ يُخْرَجُ مِنْبَرٌ وَلَا لِأَصْحَابِهِ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ، وَأَوَّلُ مَنْ أَخْرَجَ الْمِنْبَرَ مَرْوَانُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ: " أَخْرَجْتَ الْمِنْبَرَ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ يُخْرَجُ، وَبَدَأْتَ بِالْخُطْبَةِ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ يُفْعَلُ، وَجَلَسْتَ فِي الْخُطْبَةِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ يُجْلَسُ " قَالَ: " إِنَّ تِلْكَ السُّنَّةَ قَدْ تُرِكَتْ

Translation

✧ Additional textAdditional textThe Prophet ﷺ did not have a minbar brought out for him, nor did his companions, on the day of ʿĪd. The first to bring out the minbar was Marwān. A man said to him: 'You have brought out the minbar though it was not brought out, and you began with the sermon before the prayer though that was not done, and you sat during the sermon though sitting was not done.' He said: 'That sunnah has been abandoned.'
