✧ The greatness of the day of Friday

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ:

ذَلِكَ خَيْرُ يَوْمٍ طَلَعَتْ فِيهِ الشَّمْسُ، يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ، فِيهِ خُلِقَ آدَمُ، وَفِيهِ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ، وَإِنَّ اللهَ لَمَّا خَلَقَ آدَمَ نَفَخَ فِيهِ الرُّوحَ فَسَارَ فِيهِ، ثُمَّ نَفَخَ فِيهِ أُخْرَى، فَاسْتَوَى جَالِسًا، فَعَطَسَ فَأَلْقَى اللهُ عَلَى لِسَانِهِ الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ، فَقَالَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ: رَحِمَكَ اللهُ

Translation

✧ That is the best day on which the sun rises: Friday. On it Adam was created, and on it the Hour will be established. When Allah created Adam, He breathed the spirit into him and it moved through him. Then He breathed into him again, and he sat upright. He sneezed, and Allah placed on his tongue: 'Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.' The angels said: 'May Allah have mercy on you.'
