أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي الْخُوَارِ
أَنَّ نَافِعَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ، أَرْسَلَهُ إِلَى السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ يَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ شَيْءٍ رَآهُ مِنْهُ مُعَاوِيَةُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ الْجُمُعَةَ فِي الْمَقْصُورَةِ، فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قُمْتُ فِي مَقَامِي وَصَلَّيْتُ، فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ أَرْسَلَ إِلَيَّ، فَقَالَ: لَا تَعُدْ لِمَا فَعَلْتَ، إِذَا صَلَّيْتَ الْجُمُعَةَ فَلَا تَصِلْهَا بِصَلَاةٍ حَتَّى تَتَكَلَّمَ، أَوْ أَنْ تَخْرُجَ؛ فَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ " أَمَرَ بِذَلِكَ، وَبِهِ نَأْخُذُ
Translation
✧ Nāfiʿ b. Jubayr sent him to al-Sāʾib b. Yazīd to ask him about something Muʿāwiyah had seen him do in prayer. He said: I prayed the Friday prayer with him in the enclosure, and when he said the taslīm I stood in my place and prayed. When he went in he sent for me and said: Do not repeat what you did. When you have prayed the Friday prayer, do not connect it with a prayer until you speak or leave, for the Prophet ﷺ commanded that, and we follow it.
