✧ Stepping over people's necks while the imam is giving the khutbah

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: إِنْ رَأَيْتُ أَمَامِي فَجْوَةً دُونَهَا النَّاسُ أَتَخَطَّاهُمْ إِلَيْهَا ؟ قَالَ: " لَا، قُلْتُ: أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ تَخَلَّلْتُهُمْ إِلَيْهَا تَخَلُّلًا ؟ قَالَ: " وَكَيْفَ ؟ " قُلْتُ: كَأَنْ يَكُونَ الرَّجُلَانِ لَا يَتَمَاسَّانِ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، إِنْ كُنْتَ لَا تَتَخَطَّى أَحَدًا "، قَالَ لَهُ إِنْسَانٌ: فَكَانَ إِنْسَانَانِ يَتَمَاسَّانِ رُكْبَتَيْهِمَا فَأَتَخَطَّى رُكْبَتَهُمَا ؟ قَالَ: " لَا
Translation
✧ I said to Ata: If I see a gap ahead of me with people before it, should I step over them to reach it? He said: "No." I said: What if I weave through them to reach it? He said: "And how?" I said: As if two men are not touching each other. He said: "Yes, if you do not step over anyone." A person said to him: What if two people are touching their knees, should I step over their knees? He said: "No."
