✧ A man standing up from near the minbar while the imam is giving the khutbah

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: كُنْتَ عِنْدَ الْمِنْبَرِ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ، فَاسْتُصْرِخْتَ عَلَى وَلَدٍ، أَكُنْتَ قَائِمًا إِلَيْهِ وَتَارِكًا الْجُمُعَةَ ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ "، قُلْتُ: فَوَلَدٌ وَأَخٌ وَابْنُ عَمٍّ ؟ قَالَ: " لَمْ أَقُمْ إِلَّا فِي خَيْرٍ أَوْ صِلَةٍ، وَلَمْ تُلْهِنِي عَنِ الْجُمُعَةِ الدُّنْيَا
Translation
✧ I said to 'Ata': Suppose you were near the minbar while the imam was giving the khutbah, and you were called for help concerning a child, would you get up and leave the Friday prayer? He said: "Yes." I said: What about a child, a brother, or a cousin? He said: "I would not get up except for something good or a tie of kinship, and the world would not distract me from Friday."
