عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: اسْتِقْبَالُ النَّاسِ الْإِمَامَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالْقَاصَّ بِمَكَّةَ وَغَيْرِهَا يَدَعُونَ الْبَيْتَ ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ "، ثُمَّ أَخْبَرَنِي حِينَئِذٍ عَمَّنْ أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ
أَنَّهُ جَاءَ عُبَيْدُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ يَقُصُّ هَاهُنَا، وَأَشَارَ إِلَى نَاحِيَةِ بَنِي مَخْزُومٍ، وَسِنَانُ بْنُ يَعْلَى أَوْ سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَعْلَى مُسْتَقْبِلٌ الْبَيْتَ، فَدَعَاهُ يَعْلَى، فَقَالَ: مَا حَمَلَكَ عَلَى مَا صَنَعْتَ ؟ اسْتَقْبِلِ الذِّكْرَ، فَقَالَ حِينَئِذٍ عَبَّادُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبَّادٍ: هُوَ سِنَانُ بْنُ يَعْلَى
Translation
✧ 'Ubayd b. 'Umayr came to narrate stories here—and he pointed toward the direction of Banu Makhzum—while Sinan b. Ya'la or Sa'id b. Ya'la was facing the House. Ya'la called him and said: What made you do what you did? Face the remembrance. Then 'Abbad b. Abi 'Abbad said: He is Sinan b. Ya'la.
