✧ People Sitting When the Imam Comes Out

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي ثَعْلَبَةُ بْنُ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْقُرَظِيُّ قَالَ:
قَدْ كَانَ عُمَرُ " يَجِيءُ فَيَجْلِسُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ، وَالْمُؤَذِّنُ يُؤَذِّنُ، وَنَحْنُ نَتَحَدَّثُ، فَإِذَا قَضَى الْمُؤَذِّنُ أَذَانَهُ انْقَطَعَ حَدِيثُنَا
Translation
✧ Umar used to come and sit on the pulpit while the muezzin was calling the adhan, and we would be talking. When the muezzin finished his adhan, our talk would cease.
