✧ Walking to the Prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ فِي حَرْفِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ: "
( فَامْضُوا إِلَى ذِكْرِ اللهِ ) وَهِيَ كَقَوْلِهِ: ﴿إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّى ﴾، قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ: وَسَمِعْتُ غَيْرَهُ يَقُولُ: إِذَا كُنْتَ فِيهَا فَأَنْتَ فِيهَا، يَقُولُ: " إِذَا كُنْتَ فِيهَا تَتَهَيَّأُ لَهَا، فَأَنْتَ تَسْعَى إِلَيْهَا
Translation
✧ "So proceed to the remembrance of God" (Q. 62:9), and it is like His saying: "Indeed, your striving is diverse" (Q. 92:4). Ma'mar said: I heard someone else say: If you are engaged in it, then you are engaged in it. He says: "If you are preparing for it, then you are striving toward it."
