✧ The Adhan on Friday

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ،
أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ زَادَ الْأَذَانَ الْأَوَّلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، لَمَّا كَثُرَ النَّاسُ زَادَهُ، فَكَانَ يُؤَذَّنُ بِهِ عَلَى الزَّوْرَاءِ قَالَ: " وَأَمَّا أَوَّلُ مَنْ زَادَهُ بِبِلَادِنَا فَالْحَجَّاجُ
Translation
✧ Uthman was the first to add the first adhan on Friday. When the people became numerous, he added it, and it was called on al-Zawra'. He said: "As for the first to add it in our lands, it was al-Hajjaj."
