✧ The Man Who Is Uncertain During Prayer Whether He Broke Wind or Not

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عِيَاضُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
إِذَا شَبَّهَ عَلَى أَحَدِكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ وَهُوَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَقَالَ: أَحْدَثْتَ، فَلْيَقُلْ فِي نَفْسِهِ: كَذَبْتَ، حَتَّى يَسْمَعَ صَوْتًا بِأُذُنِهِ، أَوْ يَجِدَ رِيحًا بِأَنْفِهِ، وَإِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَمْ يَدْرِ أَزَادَ أَمْ نَقَصَ فَلْيَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ
Translation
✧ When Satan confuses one of you during his prayer and says: 'You have incurred ritual impurity,' let him say to himself: 'You lie,' until he hears a sound with his ear or smells an odor with his nose. And when one of you prays and does not know whether he added or subtracted, let him prostrate twice while seated.
