✧ Washing the Feet

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، وَالْحَسَنِ قَالَا
فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلاةِ فَاغْسِلُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى الْمَرَافِقِ وَامْسَحُوا بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ ﴾، قَالَا: تَمْسَحُ الرِّجْلَيْنِ
Translation
✧ Regarding this verse: ﴿O you who believe, when you rise to prayer, wash your faces and your hands to the elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles﴾, they both said: “Wipe the feet.”
