✧ Recitation on the day of Jumu'ah

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ قَالَ:
كَتَبَ الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ إِلَى النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ يَسْأَلُهُ بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ مَعَ سُورَةِ الْجُمُعَةِ ؟ فَقَالَ: بِـ ﴿هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ ﴾
Translation
✧ Al-Dahhak b. Qays wrote to al-Nu'man b. Bashir asking him what the Prophet ﷺ used to recite on Friday along with Surat al-Jumu'ah. He said: “Has there come to you the story of the Overwhelming?”
