عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ:
لَا جُمُعَةَ وَلَا تَشْرِيقَ إِلَّا فِي مِصْرٍ جَامِعٍ وَكَانَ يَعُدُّ الْأَمْصَارَ: الْبَصْرَةَ، وَالْكُوفَةَ، وَالْمَدِينَةَ، وَالْبَحْرَيْنِ، وَمِصْرَ، وَالشَّامَ، وَالْجَزِيرَةَ، وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ: الْيَمَنَ وَالْيَمَامَةَ
Translation
✧ There is no Jumu'ah and no tashriq except in a large town where [Friday] prayer is held in congregation. He used to count the amsar as: al-Basrah, al-Kufah, al-Madinah, al-Bahrayn, Misr, al-Sham, al-Jazirah, and sometimes he said: al-Yaman and al-Yamamah.
