Translation

✧ The mosque of the Prophet ﷺ was built of mud bricks, its pillars were of wood, and its roof was of palm branches. Then the Prophet ﷺ passed away, and Abu Bakr took charge and did not alter it until he died. Then Umar took charge and expanded it, keeping its wooden pillars as they were and roofing it with palm branches. Then when Uthman came, he expanded it and built it with carved stones and roofed it with teak wood.
