✧ The Qunut
5038 5002 - عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ.
The text that “the like of it” refers to
أَتَيْتُ الْأَسْوَدَ وَهُوَ يَشْتَكِي فَقُمْتُ قَائِمًا وَرَجُلٌ يَسْنُدُهُ فَأَطَالَ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يُقَصِّرَ عَمَّا كَانَ يَقْنُتُ
Translation
✧ I came to al-Aswad while he was ill; I stood up while a man was supporting him, and he prolonged it, fearing that he would fall short of what he used to do in the qunut.
