Translation

✧ The sun eclipsed while al-Mughīra b. Shuʿba was over Kufa. “He stood and prayed with the people. I was where I could not hear, so I estimated the length of a sūra from the two hundred, then he bowed, then raised, then recited, then bowed. Then the sun became clear, so he bowed and prostrated, then stood in the second unit and recited a light recitation, then bowed and prostrated.”
