عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ حَنَشٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ
أَنَّهُ أَمَّ النَّاسَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لِكُسُوفِ الشَّمْسِ قَالَ: " فَجَهَرَ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ، فَقَامَ فَقَرَأَ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَدَعَا: ثُمَّ رَكَعَ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ فِي سَجْدَةٍ، يَدْعُو فِيهِنَّ بَعْدَ الرُّكُوعِ، ثُمَّ فَعَلَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ "، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: وَسَمِعْتُهُمْ يَحْزِرُونَ قِيَامَ عَلِيٍّ فِي الْقِرَاءَةِ قَدْرَ الرُّومِ أَوْ يَاسِينَ أَوِ الْعَنْكَبُوتِ
Translation
✧ He led the people in the mosque for the eclipse of the sun. He said: “He recited aloud. He stood and recited, then bowed, then stood and supplicated, then bowed four bowings in one prostration, supplicating in them after the bowing. Then in the second unit he did the same.” Sufyān said: “I heard them estimate ʿAlī's standing in recitation as the length of al-Rūm, or Yāsīn, or al-ʿAnkabūt.”
