عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، وَعَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّهُ صَلَّى فِي الزَّلْزَلَةِ بِالْبَصْرَةِ فَأَطَالَ الْقُنُوتَ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَأَطَالَ الْقُنُوتَ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى الثَّانِيَةَ كَذَلِكَ، فَصَارَتْ صَلَاتُهُ ثَلَاثَ رَكَعَاتٍ وَأَرْبَعَ سَجَدَاتٍ "، وَقَالَ: هَكَذَا صَلَاةُ الْآيَاتِ
Translation
✧ He prayed during the earthquake in al-Basrah and lengthened the qunut, then bowed. Then he raised his head and lengthened the qunut, then bowed. Then he bowed, then prostrated. Then he prayed the second rak'ah in the same way. Thus his prayer became three bowings and four prostrations. And he said: 'This is the prayer of the signs.'
