عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ:
خَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ فَأَطَالَ الْقِرَاءَةَ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَأَطَالَ الرُّكُوعَ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَأَطَالَ الْقِرَاءَةَ وَهُوَ دُونَ قِرَاءَتِهِ الْأُولَى، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَأَطَالَ الرُّكُوعَ وَهُوَ دُونَ رُكُوعِهِ الْأَوَّلِ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَفَعَلَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَخْسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ، وَلَكِنَّهُمَا آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَافْزَعُوا لِلصَّلَاةِ.
Translation
✧ The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of God ﷺ. The Messenger of God ﷺ stood and led the people in prayer, lengthening the recitation. Then he bowed and lengthened the bowing. Then he raised his head and lengthened the recitation, but it was shorter than his first recitation. Then he bowed and lengthened the bowing, but it was shorter than his first bowing. Then he raised his head and prostrated twice. Then he stood and did the same in the second rak'ah. Then he turned away and said: 'The sun and the moon do not eclipse for the death of anyone or for his life, but they are two signs among the signs of God. So when you see that, hasten to prayer.'
