Translation
✧ A commander among the commanders sent me to Ibn 'Abbas to ask him about the rain prayer. Ibn 'Abbas said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out humble, beseeching, and submissive, and he delivered a sermon, but not like this sermon of yours. Then he supplicated and prayed two rak'ahs as he prayed on the Eid.'
