عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، أَوْ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ: حَدَّثَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:
قَدْ أُصِيبَ عُثْمَانُ، وَمَا أَحَدٌ يُسَبِّحُهَا، وَإِنَّهَا لَمِنْ أَحَبِّ مَا أَحْدَثَ النَّاسُ إِلَيَّ
Translation
✧ Uthman was struck down while no one prayed it, and indeed it is among the most beloved of what people introduced to me.
