عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ:
انْتَهَيْتُ إِلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ يَنْتَظِرُ الصَّلَاةَ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَاسْتَيْقَظَ، فَقَالَ: أَبَا ثَابِتٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: أَسَلَّمْتَ ؟ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ قَالَ: إِذَا سَلَّمْتَ فَأَسْمِعْ، وَإِذَا رَدُّوا عَلَيْكَ فَلْيُسْمِعُوكَ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى، وَكَانَ مُحْتَبِيًا قَدْ نَامَ
Translation
✧ I came to Ibn Umar while he was sitting waiting for prayer, and I greeted him, and he woke up. He said: "Abu Thabit?" I said: "Yes." He said: "Did you greet?" I said: "Yes." He said: "When you greet, make it audible, and when they respond to you, let them make it audible to you." Then he stood and prayed, and he had been sitting with his legs drawn up, having slept.
