✧ The virtue of voluntary prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ:
إِذَا رَأَى الشَّيْطَانُ ابْنَ آدَمَ سَاجِدًا قَالَ: يَا وَيْلَهُ، وَيْلٌ لِلشَّيْطَانِ، أَمَرَ اللهُ ابْنَ آدَمَ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ وَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ فَأَطَاعَ، وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَسْجُدَ فَعَصَيْتُ، فَلِيَ النَّارُ
Translation
✧ When Satan sees the son of Adam prostrating, he says: O woe to him! Woe to Satan! God commanded the son of Adam to prostrate and for him is Paradise, and he obeyed. And He commanded me to prostrate, and I disobeyed, so for me is the Fire.
