Translation
✧ We used to sit in the mosque after the qiyām of ʿAbd Allāh b. Masʿūd, helping the people to be firm in the recitation. When we wanted to return, we prayed two rakʿahs. This reached ʿAbd Allāh, and he said: 'You are burdening the people with what God has not burdened them with. They see you praying, and they will think that it is obligatory upon them. If you must do it, then do it in the houses.'
