Translation
✧ I said to ʿAṭāʾ, 'May a person in janābah perform wuḍūʾ with the leftover wuḍūʾ water of another person in janābah, and may a man and a woman each perform wuḍūʾ with the other's leftover water when both are in janābah?' He said, 'For prayer, no. But for food, drink, and sleep'—he said—'the leftover wuḍūʾ water of a person in janābah may not be used for prayer.' I said, 'Is the menstruating woman of the same status as them?' He said, 'Yes.'
