252 251 - عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ مِثْلَهُ. متن مخفيكَانَ مَعَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فِي رَكْبٍ فِيهِمْ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ فَوَقَفُوا عَلَى حَوْضٍ فَقَالَ عَمْرٌو يَا صَاحِبَ الْحَوْضِ أَتَرِدُ حَوْضَكَ السِّبَاعُ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ يَا صَاحِبَ الْحَوْضِ لَا تُخْبِرْنَا فَإِنَّا نَرِدُ عَلَى السِّبَاعِ وَتَرِدُ عَلَيْنَا
Translation
✧ 252 251 - Abd al-Razzaq, from Ibn Uyayna, from Ibn Ajlan, from Said b. Abi Said, something similar. Hidden text: He was with Umar b. al-Khattab in a riding party in which Amr b. al-As was also present. They stopped at a basin, and Amr said: 'O owner of the basin, do beasts of prey come to your basin?' Umar said: 'O owner of the basin, do not inform us, for we come to the beasts of prey and they come to us.'
