✧ Water from Which Dogs and Beasts Have Drunk

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ،
أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، وَرَدَ حَوْضَ مَجَنَّةٍ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ: يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِنَّمَا وَلَغَ فِيهِ الْكَلْبُ آنِفًا، قَالَ: إِنَّمَا وَلَغَ بِلِسَانِهِ فَاشْرَبُوا مِنْهُ وَتَوَضَّئُوا
Translation
✧ Umar b. al-Khattab came to the basin of Majanna, and it was said to him: 'O Commander of the Believers, the dog just lapped in it.' He said: 'It only lapped with its tongue, so drink from it and perform wudu.'
