✧ He Does Not Stand in the Second Row Until the First Is Complete, and Does the Imam Order That?

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَيْسٍ، وَحَمَّادٍ - أَوْ أَحَدِهِمَا - عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ:
أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَقُومَ الرَّجُلُ فِي الصَّفِّ الثَّانِي حَتَّى يَتِمَّ الصَّفُّ الْأَوَّلُ، وَيَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَقُومَ فِي الصَّفِّ الثَّالِثِ حَتَّى يَتِمَّ الصَّفُّ الثَّانِي، وَالْإِمَامُ يَنْبَغِي أَنْ يَأْمُرَهُمْ بِذَلِكَ
Translation
✧ He used to dislike a man standing in the second row until the first row was complete, and he disliked standing in the third row until the second row was complete. The imam ought to command them to do that.
