✧ Wiping Away Pebbles

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: فَإِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُشَدِّدُونَ فِي الْمَسْحِ لِلْحَصَى لِمَوْضِعِ الْجَبِينِ مَا لَا يُشَدِّدُونَ فِي مَسْحِ الْوَجْهِ مِنَ التُّرَابِ ؟ قَالَ: " أَجَلْ، هَا اللهِ إِذًا ".
Translation
✧ I said to Ata: "They used to be strict about wiping the pebbles from the place of the forehead, but not as strict about wiping dust from the face." He said: "Yes, by God, indeed."
