أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، قَالَ:
إِنَّ اللهَ لَمَّا لَعَنَ إِبْلِيسَ سَأَلَهُ النَّظِرَةَ فَأَنْظَرَهُ، فَقَالَ: وَعِزَّتِكَ لَا أَخْرُجُ مِنْ صَدْرِ عَبْدِكَ حَتَّى تَخْرُجَ نَفْسُهُ، فَقَالَ: وَعِزَّتِي لَا أَحْجُبُ تَوْبَتِي مِنْ عَبْدِي حَتَّى تَخْرُجَ نَفْسُهُ - أَوْ قَالَ: رُوحُهُ ".
