✧ A man entering the mosque and hearing the iqama in another

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ سَمِعَ النِّدَاءَ أَوِ الْإِقَامَةَ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي الْمَكْتُوبَةَ أَيَقْطَعُ صَلَاتَهُ وَيَأْتِي الْمَسْجِدَ الْجَامِعَ ؟ قَالَ: إِنْ ظَنَّ أَنَّهُ مُدْرِكٌ مِنَ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ شَيْئًا فَنَعَمْ، قُلْتُ: أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ سَمِعْتُ الْإِقَامَةَ أَيَحِقُّ عَلَيَّ أَنْ آتِيَ الصَّلَاةَ كَمَا يَحِقُّ إِذَا سَمِعْتُ النِّدَاءَ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ
Translation
✧ I said to Ata: What do you think if a man hears the call or the iqama while he is performing the obligatory prayer, should he cut off his prayer and go to the congregational mosque? He said: If he thinks he can catch something of the obligatory prayer, then yes. I said: What do you think if I hear the iqama, is it obligatory for me to come to the prayer just as it is obligatory when I hear the call? He said: Yes.
