أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ:
لَمَّا طُعِنَ عُمَرُ أَرْسَلَ إِلَى نَاسٍ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ فِيهِمْ عَلِيٌّ فَقَالَ: " أَعَنْ مَلَأٍ مِنْكُمْ كَانَ هَذَا ؟ فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ: مَعَاذَ اللهِ أَنْ يَكُونَ عَنْ مَلَأٍ مِنَّا، وَلَوِ اسْتَطَعْنَا أَنْ نَزِيدَ مِنْ أَعْمَارِنَا فِي عُمُرِكَ لَفَعَلْنَا، قَالَ: " قَدْ كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ عَلَيْنَا مِنْهُمْ أَحَدٌ
