✧ Leadership in prayer and what pertains to it

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
بَادِرُوا الْأَذَانَ، وَلَا تَبَادَرُوا الْإِمَامَةَ، وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: بَادِرُوا الْإِمَامَةَ فِي الْأَذَانِ لِتَجَاوُزِهِ
Translation
✧ Take the initiative in the adhan, but do not vie for leadership in prayer. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Take the initiative in leading prayer through the adhan, because of its surpassing merit."
