أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي غَيْرُ عَطَاءٍ،
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ اسْتَوْهَبَ وَضُوءًا، فَقِيلَ لَهُ: مَا نَجِدُ لَكَ إِلَّا فِي مَسْكِ مَيْتَةٍ، قَالَ: أَدَبَغْتُمُوهُ ؟ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: هَلُمَّ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ طَهُورٌ
Translation
Chain of narrators
machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq informed us, he said: Ibn Jurayj informed us, he said: someone other than ʿAṭāʾ narrated to me,
✧ The Prophet ﷺ asked for water for ablution, and it was said to him: 'We find none for you except in the skin of a dead animal.' He said: 'Did you tan it?' They said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Bring it, for that is purifying.'
