✧ What to say when hearing the adhan and remaining silent for it

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: حُدِّثْتُ
أَنَّ نَاسًا كَانُوا فِيمَا مَضَى كَانُوا يُنْصِتُونَ لِلتَّأْذِينِ كَإِنْصَاتِهِمْ لِلْقُرْآنِ، فَلَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ شَيْئًا إِلَّا قَالُوا مِثْلَهُ، حَتَّى إِذَا قَالَ: حَيَّ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ قَالُوا: لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ، فَإِذَا قَالَ: حَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلَاحِ قَالُوا: مَا شَاءَ اللهُ
Translation
✧ That some people in the past used to remain silent for the call to prayer as they remained silent for the Quran. The muezzin would not say anything but they said the like of it, until when he said: Come to prayer, they said: There is no might and no power except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great. When he said: Come to success, they said: Whatever Allah wills.
