Translation

✧ Indeed Bilal gives the call to prayer at night, so whoever intends to fast, Bilal's call should not prevent him until Ibn Umm Maktum gives the call. He said: He was blind, so he would not give the call until it was said to him, 'It is morning.' One night Bilal gave the call, then came to wake the Prophet ﷺ, but it was said to him, 'He is sleeping.' So Bilal called out, 'Prayer is better than sleep,' and it was established in the dawn prayer.
