✧ Announcing a lost animal in the mosque

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ رَجُلًا يَنْشُدُ ضَالَّةً جَمَلًا لَهُ أَحْمَرَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَقُولُ: مَنْ دَعَا إِلَى الْجَمَلِ الْأَحْمَرِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: لَا وَجَدْتَ إِنَّمَا بُنِيَتِ الْمَسَاجِدُ لِمَا بُنِيَتْ لَهُ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ heard a man announcing a lost camel of his that was red in the mosque, saying: "Who will lead me to the red camel?" The Prophet ﷺ said: "May you not find it. Mosques were built only for what they were built for."
