✧ Urinating in the mosque

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ:
بَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ إِذْ دَخَلَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَبَالَ فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ، فَصَاحَ بِهِ أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، وَأَرَادُوا أَنْ يُقِيمُوهُ فَنَهَاهُمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ، حَتَّى إِذَا فَرَغَ أَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَأُهْرِيقَ عَلَى بَوْلِهِ مَاءٌ، أَوْ قِيلَ سَجْلًا مِنْ مَاءٍ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِنَّ هَذَا مَكَانٌ لَا يُبَالُ فِيهِ، إِنَّمَا بُنِيَ لِلصَّلَاةِ.
Translation
✧ While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in the mosque, a bedouin entered and urinated in a corner of the mosque. The companions of the Prophet ﷺ shouted at him and wanted to remove him, but the Prophet ﷺ forbade them. When he finished, the Prophet ﷺ ordered that water be poured over his urine, or it was said: a bucket of water. Then he said: This is a place where one should not urinate; it was only built for prayer.
