أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ:
جَاءَتْ هِنْدٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَاللهِ مَا كَانَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ أَهْلُ خِبَاءٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَيَّ أَنْ يُذِلَّهُمُ اللهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ خِبَائِكَ، وَمَا عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ أَهْلُ خِبَاءٍ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ أَنْ يُعِزَّهُمُ اللهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ خِبَائِكَ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " وَأَيْضًا وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ " قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ: يَعْنِي لَتَزْدَادِنَّ، ثُمَّ قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ رَجُلٌ مُمْسِكٌ، فَهَلْ عَلَيَّ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ أُنْفِقَ عَلَى عِيَالِهِ مِنْ مَالِهِ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِهِ ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: لَا حَرَجَ عَلَيْكِ أَنْ تُنْفِقِي عَلَيْهِمْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ

Hind came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: "O Messenger of God, by God, there was no household on the face of the earth whom I wished more that God would humiliate than your household, and now there is no household on the face of the earth whom I wish more that God would honour than your household." The Prophet ﷺ said: "And also, by the One in whose hand is my soul." Maʿmar said: meaning, you will increase further. Then she said: "O Messenger of God, Abū Sufyān is a miserly man. Is there any blame on me if I spend on his dependants from his wealth without his permission?" The Prophet ﷺ said: "There is no blame on you in spending on them in a fair manner."
