✧ Does one who is not pure enter the mosque?

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ:
كَانَ الْحَسَنُ وَابْنُ سِيرِينَ يَكْرَهَانِ الرَّجُلَ إِذَا بَالَ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، وَهُوَ عَلَى غَيْرِ طُهْرٍ، وَلَكِنَّهُ يَمُرُّ، وَلَا يَقْعُدُ. قَالَ: وَكَانَ جَابِرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ لَا يَرَى بِذَلِكَ بَأْسًا أَنْ يَقْعُدَ فِيهِ، وَهُوَ عَلَى غَيْرِ وُضُوءٍ.
Translation
✧ Al-Hasan and Ibn Sirin used to dislike a man, after urinating, sitting in the mosque while not in a state of purity; but he may pass through and not sit. He said: Jabir b. Zayd saw no harm in sitting in it while not in a state of ablution.
