I brought a dispute before Shurayḥ concerning a mukātab of mine who had died leaving a child, while a remainder of his contract of manumission was still owed. Shurayḥ gave me what remained owing of his contract, gave his two daughters two-thirds, and made Abū Ḥuṣayn an agnate heir (ʿaṣabah), so he gave him the inheritance of what remained.
