عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ،
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، لَمَّا حَضَرَتْهُ الْوَفَاةُ جَعَلَ يُلْقِي عَلَى وَجْهِهِ طَرَفَ خَمِيصِهِ، فَإِذَا اغْتَمَّ بِهَا كَشَفَهَا عَنْ وَجْهِهِ وَيَقُولُ: لَعْنَةُ اللهِ عَلَى الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ. قَالَ: تَقُولُ عَائِشَةُ: يُحَذِّرُ مِثْلَ الَّذِي صَنَعُوا
Translation
✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was on his deathbed, he began placing a corner of his cloak over his face, and when he felt distressed by it, he would uncover his face and say: 'Allah's curse be upon the Jews and Christians; they took the graves of their prophets as places of worship.' Aishah said: 'He was warning against the like of what they did.'
