أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ:
نَهَى عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ عَنِ الْوَرِقِ بِالْوَرِقِ إِلَّا مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ، فَقَالَ لَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ أَوِ الزُّبَيْرُ: إِنَّهَا تُزَيِّفُ عَلَيْنَا الْأَوْرَاقَ، فَنُعْطِي الْخَبِيثَ وَنَأْخُذُ الطَّيِّبَ ! فَقَالَ: " لَا تَفْعَلُوا، وَلَكِنِ انْطَلِقْ إِلَى الْبَقِيعِ فَبِعْ ثَوْبَكَ بِوَرِقٍ أَوْ عَرَضٍ. فَإِذَا قَبَضْتَهُ، وَكَانَ لَكَ بَيْعُهُ - فَاهْضِمْ مَا شِئْتَ، وَخُذْ وَرِقًا إِنْ شِئْتَ
