Musannaf 'Abd al-Razzaq 1449

✧ Prayer in the garment in which one has intercourse and in which the junub sweats

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:

قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: الْمَرْءُ يُصِيبُ أَهْلَهُ، ثُمَّ يَلْبَسُ ثَوْبَهُ، ثُمَّ يَغْسِلُ فَرْجَهُ، فَلَعَلَّ ثَوْبَهُ أَنْ يُصِيبَهُ مِنَ الْمَنِيِّ شَيْءٌ، ثُمَّ يَغْتَسِلُ لِلصَّلَاةِ فَيُجَفِّفُ فِي ذَلِكَ الثَّوْبَ قَالَ: لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ

Translation

✧ I said to ʿAṭāʾ: “A man has intercourse with his wife, then puts on his garment, then washes his private part, and perhaps some semen gets on his garment. Then he performs ghusl for prayer and dries himself with that garment.” He said: “There is no harm in it.”
