✧ What suffices a man of clothing
1386 فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ مَعْمَرًا، فَقَالَ: قَدْ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى يَذْكُرُهُ.

أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أُصَلِّي أَحْيَانًا فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ فَقَالَ فَسَكَتَ عَنْهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ حَتَّى أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَطَابَقَ بَيْنَ ثَوْبَيْهِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى فِيهِمَا سند مخفيأَبُو بَكْرٍ: فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ1 / 353 مَعْمَرًا، فَقَالَ: قَدْ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ طَلْقٍ.
Translation
✧ 1386 Abu Bakr said: I narrated it to Ma'mar, and he said: I heard Yahya mention it. Hidden text: A man said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I sometimes pray in a single garment.' The Prophet ﷺ remained silent until the prayer was about to begin, then he matched his two garments together and prayed in them. Hidden chain: Abu Bakr: I narrated it to Ma'mar, and he said: I heard Yahya from Qays b. Talq.
