عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْغَرِيفِ الْهَمْدَانِيَّ يَقُولُ:
شَهِدْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ بَالَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: اقْرَأُوا الْقُرْآنَ مَا لَمْ يَكُنْ أَحَدُكُمْ جُنُبًا، فَإِذَا كَانَ جُنُبًا فَلَا وَلَا حَرْفًا وَاحِدًا
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from al-Thawrī, from ʿĀmir al-Shaʿbī, who said: I heard Abū al-Gharīf al-Hamdānī say:
✧ I witnessed 'Ali b. Abi Talib urinate, then he said: 'Recite the Qur'an as long as one of you is not junub. If he is junub, then not even a single letter.'
